Confirm prenatal insurance coverage
Verify OB visits, delivery, newborn hospital care, and NICU tiers match what you expect on your plan.
Pull your plan's Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) or member portal details. Confirm prenatal visits, labor and delivery, anesthesia, and inpatient newborn care are covered at in-network facilities. If your plan has tiered hospitals, know your out-of-pocket exposure before you are in labor.
New Hampshire paid leave: New Hampshire has a voluntary paid family leave insurance program (not mandatory). Employers can opt in to provide employees up to 6 weeks of paid leave at 60% wage replacement through MetLife. As of January 2026, employers with 20+ employees must provide up to 25 hours of unpaid leave for childbirth-related medical appointments and infant pediatric visits in the first year. Check whether your employer participates in the voluntary plan. Verify programs for your employment type.
